About the Artist
Rachel Day is a New York City based artist with a love for fine arts. She began taking art courses throughout high school in her hometown of Columbia, Maryland, and continued her art education while studying abroad in college. In Barcelona she studied public sculpture, graffiti, urban interventions, and new tendencies in Spanish contemporary art.
The work of Rachel Day, aka - “Ray Day”, ranges as it includes painting, digital illustration, and pottery design. Her signature pieces interpret current events or highlight the beauty of Black culture. Shaped by her immersion into DC and NYC, recent pieces are undeniably influenced by the cities. She constantly explores different mediums and techniques, while aiming to both develop and refine her personal art style.
